Italian Beef TOTchos
The one thing we can all agree on is that tater tots are pretty incredible. Pair them with Italian beef, and you have yourself a delicious dinner. The dish is big enough to hold those second and third helpings we know you’ll want later.
Recipe uses Pyrex® Deep™ 9x13 Rectangle Baking
Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 red pepper, sliced
1 green pepper, sliced
1 red onion, sliced
Two 28 ounce packages of Tater-Tots
1 ounce au jus gravy seasoning packet
8 ounce Italian beef
2 cups shredded Provolone cheese
1/4 cup giardiniera, or to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 425oF.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet. Add peppers and onion and sauté until softened; set aside.
- Place tots in the Pyrex Deep Baking Dish and bake according to package directions, until crispy. (If you prefer, cook in air fryer according to directions.) Remove tots to a large bowl and toss with half of the au jus seasoning packet.
- Layer half the tots in the bottom of the Pyrex Deep Baking Dish. Top with half of the beef, torn and spread evenly over tots. Cover with half of the pepper and onion mixture. Sprinkle with half of the provolone. Cover with remaining tots and repeat with a second layer of remaining ingredients. Bake 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden. Top with giardiniera. Prepare remaining au jus packet according to directions and use to dip or drizzle. Enjoy!
